Top 10 Movies

I don’t really watch movies, so this list definitely won’t contain ten. I can give you my four favorite though, because I do have that many.

4. Wicker Park. The twists and turns in this movie make you think. The connections make you realize how small of a world we really live in. And the love story behind it all is fabulous. Plus seeing Matthew Lilard outside of Scooby-Doo is a postive change.

3. The Help. My boyfriend bought this movie for me for Christmas/my birthday last year. Emma Stone is one of my favorite actresses, so that definitely helped in deciding on The Help as one of my favorite movies. The roles that the women played as the help in the movie were awesome. All of the actors and actresses were perfect choices. They couldn’t have done a better job. The movie really touched me because I hate seeing people treated the way these women were treated. And I really, really meshed with Ceila Foot. I LOVED her. My favorite person in the movie. Her attitude, the things that happened to her, I could definitely relate. I feel like when there’s a person in a movie that you relate to, you tend to like that movie more.

2. Wreck-It Ralph. Animated movies are amazing. I don’t know if anyone else knows how much time and work it takes to animate things, but I do. My boyfriend is a media arts and animation major, so I get to sit around and watch him spend hours on the computer, animating little animations that barely last 10 seconds. So to say the least, it’s hard work. I like this movie because at the end, it’s revealed that the “bad guy” is actually the Disney “princess” and the “princess” chooses that she’d rather be president. Showing little girls that they don’t have to be fancy princesses all the time, they can be whatever they want. And I think that’s a message from Disney that I’ve been waiting for a long time.

1. One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest. I know this movie is old, and so is the book, but the book is also my favorite. I just love the storyline. Everything that it’s about. I watched it for the first time in my 10th grade Psychology and Sociology classes and it’s been my all-time favorite movie ever since.

Also, I like all the Batman/Dark Knight movies simply because I’m a Batman fanatic.

Some movies I’m looking forward to are: THE SECOND DESPICABLE ME MOVIE! The Rise of the Guardians, and the new Oz movie.
